I’m posting on the blog while my 2 year old son is singing a song and strumming on his sisters guitar. She is playing house and loves our blow on/off electric candle! Right now I’m so thankful for the friendship my kids have for each other and I’m also thankful for our friends that have stepped above and beyond to help us out recently! I have been busy making cards as that is the most strenuous activity I can really keep up, other than washing dishes and picking up. I’m so glad my husband doesn’t mind doing laundry right now or vacuuming the house! He is just glad I’m not asking him to paint our bathroom or move furniture around, ( things I’ve been prone to do in the wintertime). I thought this was a Festive and Fun craft for the New year! It could be made for any holiday and even made into a smaller version. Here is a 12×12 Valentine layout I finished today. I am such a collector of paper that some of these papers I have had for 2 years but mostly they are a year old or newer! I pulled some Basic Grey Sublime Alpha Berry paper from my stash along with Coral Chip Chatter Hip letters by Pressed Petals. The pale pink on the first page is Flourish by Martha Stewart available at Michaels craft stores. Along with the Blue paper called Calm/ Soothing Florals by My Mind’s Eye, I used Rusty Pickles Lovely paper, and Sassafras Lass’ Owl Pals label. I will probably put a lot of small pictures from the past on this layout or one big one!

My hubby was laid off this week mostly related to taking hospital leave. We were very shocked and saddened as we have a ton of medical bills that were either not covered by insurance or there was a remainder left over. He is currently looking for Manager of IT work in the Houston area. You can check out His Blog HERE.

It’s rainy and cold outside and inside my son is watching Polar Express while I have been making cards Today. I had fun stamping images last night with my daughter and my mom in law so I thought I would post some of the cards I finished last night too.
