Blue and Brown Color theme Layout

I thought I would go ahead and post some more pics of all the stuff going at Pinkdilla’s house this week. I have been busy cleaning up my scrapbooking supplies and have laid out some color schemes for upcoming layouts. I have these amazing papers, Christian Inspiration from Creative Memories, they go with everything and all my blue and brown ribbons matched the pages. I’m so excited to get to work on these layouts!

I also found a little time today to play with some paint and glue to alter an Artist Trading Card from Artchix gal Pamela McKenlie, I loved the cobalt blue and orange colors she used on the card but I wanted to change it up a little. I had fun and my son saw it and immediately “Had to Paint” a sky too.

I finished up these pretty 2 inch lockets for me and one for my sister they are super easy to put together and they only need tiny pieces of scraps to make a collage. My next Color scheme I’m working on is pale pink, bright coral and green and red also Creative Memories but these were 7″x7″ papers I’m going to mix and match for a 12″x12″ layout. Hope your weekend is rosy and bright!

  • Valentine’s Cards for Soldiers

    Jan 2009 084

We are always making things at our house and I’m always working on something for soldiers when the holidays come around. This year for Valentine’s Day my church is donating phone cards and handmade valentine’s cards so I though I would share the results with you. I used my fav Artchix Rubber stamp images and some decorative Lil’Davis felt flowers. I found the black and white card at Walmart and love using it for all types of cards.

I was so excited to get to donate my hair to Locks of Love organization this summer and last week my daughter donated her hair too. They use the donated hair to make wigs for kids affected by cancer and other childhood diseases. It was a fun project that we both care about deeply and it was an interesting past few years growing and keeping that hair tangle free! I hope you like the before and after pics. I’m terribly shy so here it goes :)

    Cards, cards and more cards

I thought I would keep it easy and quick this year so I used some of the Christmas things I hadn’t put away yet, Shhh don’t tell anyone! I decorated my little table tree with my handmade hearts and small Roses light covers found at Victorian Trading Co.

At my table I put out a bowl of Pinks and Red Vintage glass ornaments and a
hanging Velvet leaf cone I made. The front door was even easier to decorate, it
already has that weather stripped Shabby look going on so now it is also chic
with a hanging ceiling tile bucket of sweet flowers!
