Happy 2011 Ya’ll! I’m so excited to be in this new year! It is simply gorgeous outside today and I got a little time to post some of my cards for December. The first is the Collage Stuff atc swap, Artist’ Choice, which was a 4 for 3 swap. Lisa Busch is a sweet artist, I really adore her work and always look forward to seeing the swap items! Next, is my handmade princess crown card I made for my friend’s baby shower. I used ribbon and paper trim for the rosette and glued in place. I cutout 2 crown shapes, and left an opening in the top for the tag card to slid into. I also handmade our Christmas cards this year, I loved using the Stampin’ Up ribbon and paper and then finished off with some mica flakes from Papier Valise and powdered pigments from Pearl Ex. I am addicted to using gel medium and it is so much fun using the glitters and powdered pigments with it. A little goes a long way but it has a big punch of color and sparkle. After playing with the pigment powders and glitter, I turned to my Tim Holtz Adirondack Butterscotch Spray and decorated my handmade angel ornament with paint, spray, and tinsel trim! All that is left is to add the photo to the top. Great way to document baby’s growth every year!
