I just finished up my Marie Antoinette ATCs for the May online swap at CollageStuff. I met Lisa online looking for swaps and was so delighted when she told me her swap for May is Marie Antoinette. The Challenge is to use at least one Collage Stuff image and make 4 artist trading cards postmarked by May 31st. For my cards I used watercolor paper as the foundation and then painted, dye inked, collaged and chalked the background and images in shades of pink and blue. As well as using vintage paper and trim on the cards. I had so much fun I’m going to make more and definitely delve into Marie-mania!

Here is the third installment to Helga’s Twinchie Blog challenges. The first was monochromatic colors, the second complimentary colors and thirdly analogous colors. For this weeks 2" artwork challenge the analogous colors must be used, any 3 colors that are side by side on the colorwheel. I was inspired to continue in my red-orange color theme along with red and violet red. Hope you like it!

This week Art Chix Studio posted another Twinchie artwork challenge. This time instead of monochromatic this week’s theme is complimentary colors. For my 2" piece of artwork I used a glossy piece of cardstock and inked up the background with the blue and orange-red dye based inks. The colors made me think of red mountains so I used a vintage stamp as a house. If you want to see my Previous Twinchie entry check out my earlier post HERE. Next, is a quick sketch I did, I’m trying to work on more artwork lately and doodling is always great for getting the juices flowing. Hope you like them

Here’s a little inspiration for today, the sweetness of spring, the delicacy of a spider’s web, and a little sketch by me!

Just thought I would share my entry, Heavenly Bodies, to Helga’s monochromatic Twinchie challenge. Twinchies are 2" square pieces of artwork and for this challenge they needed to be in one color family. I just got done reading one of my favorite books by C.S. Lewis Out of the Silent Planet so I was inspired to make my Twinchie with planets, moons and stars. I hope you are inspired to create something heavenly today
Speaking of Heavenly, I also got to make this sweet baby card for a neighbor of mine that is a new mom, Little Angel. I used a Stampin’ Up card and some of the beautiful paper from my Paper Source card contest.
