I’m always so inspired by the Swaps hosted by Collage Stuff every month! Especially receiving the pretty ATCs from other artists around the USA. The ATC Swap theme for May is Time. For this challenge I wanted to create a visual message that conveyed something that takes time, and not just time passing on a clock, but a moment in time. My cards are ” Time to Smile”, “Time to Change” and “Time to Grow”. I used watercolor paints as the background for the Smile card, the Grow card is a gel medium and Pearl Ex pigments, the Time card is a simple dry brush of Acrylics. I only used Claudine Hellmuth’s Studio gloss Medium as my adhesive. It was perfect behind the Art Chix Studio transparencies and completely disappeared behind it! I hope you like them, I definitely had a blast making these!
I have been behind on taking pictures and posting but I wanted to share the sweet pink & red ATCs I received for April. The first was a 3 for 3 Pink and Green swap at Collage Stuff. You can check out My Artwork HERE. The next is the pretty Sweethearts 6 for 6 Swap at Art Chix Studio. I loved getting all of the pinks and reds, for my sweetheart ATCs I used a mix of purples, pinks and yellows. Check out My Artwork HERE. Have fun creating!
I just mailed off February’s ATc swap cards that I made for Collage Stuff’s Pink and Green swap. I have been really inspired by the collage stuff swaps and all of the lovely cards that I receive from the other artists and I’m excited to see what I will get for this 3 for 3 swap! Pink is one of my all time favorite things, just in case you didn’t know this, and with Valentine’s Day in February I had hearts and cupids and roses on the brain! For the cupid card I used 1/2 inch wire edge ribbon and just folded it on the edges and in the middle to make the roses effect for the trim. The Soar angel card has one of my favorite colors Juniper green ribbon from Close to My heart as an accent. All of the sweet collage images, vintage papers and ticket stubs are from collage stuff. I hope you enjoy seeing these as much as I enjoyed making them.
Sweethearts! That’s the Artchix Studio theme for the February ATC Swap and what fun it was creating little pieces of love! This time around I chose a bright coral red, pink and purple colorway, ( my atcs are usually pretty bright). I love using vintage ribbons, trims and papers in my designs, some are bought, some have been swapped and some are from my mom and grandma. The funny thing is I still have tons more Valentine images, papers and craft supplies leftover even after all of the cards and atcs I made this month. Oh well, the more the merrier for next year! You can check out more about Pinkdilla on my Facebook page and on Helga’s ArtChix Facebook page. And, I’m not the only Selby in my house that worked on cards for February, here are a few cute cards from my daughter. She made each card unique and only one of each design. Hmmm…like mother like daughter.
