I finally decided to decorate for Easter today, not that I did much but I wanted to share some of my collections with you. I collect dishes, vintage tablecloths, bunnies, pink glass, and Southern Living at home items so I pulled these out of my cabinet and threw them together so I could at least say I decorated. I know, I know Easter is tomorrow and all, but I had a little time to myself for cleaning today while the kiddos are with Gramdpa and Grandma.
Right now my heart is aching for the Chinese people and the fact that they have very little rights even in the new “open” China that that government is touting. The fact that they have computers and email, and now even blogs is all masked by the truth that their government controls censorship of them. Even Google and Microsoft work with the Chinese government to block and control internet searching and emailing. I grew up in an area where many Chinese families came to work and the culture shock that we both received on meeting each other was great. Us on the fact that they are not allowed more than 2 children and that the government would spy on them even in the US. And them on the fact that we had freedom of religion and speech. A friend of mine came over as a teen to go to college and she would say how her friends and church group she was in could not even email specific information, they had to use code in their emails. I’m so thankful I have the right to free speech and the right to worship how I want and to be free. That is the whole Reason for Easter to celebrate the fact that in Christ we are all Free.
