This gal is a true artist and has such a sweet personality too! We got to see Amy Butler 2 years in a row at International Quilt Market in Houston, and her booth is definitely The Favorite booth that we go to! I just thought I would share with everyone that she has terrific easy sew free patterns on her website. My favorite is the Charm quilt for its bright florals!

Over the summer I got to make dozens of mermaid themed cards and Artist Trading Cards, ATCs, and participate in art swaps with online friends. One of those summertime inspired projects was this little mermaid ATC that I created with a vintage photo that reminded me of my little girl when she was three!

The great news is that this little mermaid was turned into Faux postage great for use in your own card making and artwork along with 34 other talented artists! they also look fabulous framed. Just email me if you are interested in ordering these little beauties!
Mermaid Faux Postage is 35 individual pieces of small art for $5 per sheet plus $2 shipping

I have fallen in love with these fabulous designer pieces at La Redoute catalog! The Falbala Trench is a gorgeous Fall coat! I would wear this every day, picking up my daughter from school, shopping at Walmart, ah well only in my fantasy!

My second favorite Christian Lacroix piece is the Sevillane Dress, also a fairytale come true!

This Texas gal had a very exciting week! My artwork came out in print and it was a fabulous way to start off this fall!
Check out the newsstand for the very first Sew Somerset book by Stampington and Co! It is a 144 page eclectic mix of textile artwork and crafts, and a mini quilt by your’s truly. This is the very first mini quilt I have ever made, so I was really blown away to have my Secret Garden quilt published! I hope you can check it out.

Also, we were really excited to open the mail this week and there in the pages of Somerset Memories Fall 2007 was my little girl all “Dolled” up! My memory album page, The Art of Making Paperdolls, was created out of a whim one day while making paperdolls and what do you know, they look great in memory albums! My “Doll” was thrilled to be in a magazine (and I think she was born to be in one, but I’m just her mom)!
