Lots of birthdays in August, so to celebrate I made my Festive Party Crowns for the gals. First, I hand cut my circus-inspired shaped crown out of glittered 12″ Acid Free scrapbooking paper. Next, I hand inked vintage Tinsel to create the lovely pink shade, Here is my HOW TO. Then I handmade the Flower Medallion out of 2 strips of 2″x12″ acid free scrapbooking sheet music paper, accordion folded them and glued together with Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue™. Lastly, I covered a flower die cut in the tacky glue and fine pink glitter and added them to the crown along with crystals and a bird accent. These would look amazing for a birthday party with each crown personalized. They can be made larger or smaller for girls, ladies and babies. My Daughter is modeling the ladies size. You can check out more of my Crowns HERE.

Glittered Baby Card

My next Baby Project to share is a Stamped and Glittered card using foam alphabet stamps dipped into Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue™ and sprinkled with glitter. I used scrapbooking acid free paper from my Belle & Lotus paper packs, pinked the edges with shears and added the fluerettes, flowers &  flower punch to the sides of the card. I loved mixing the reds, pinks and hot pinks. Sometimes reds and pinks can clash, but I think these were all a similar shade and blended nicely. It was fun getting out my paper stash and scrapbooking supplies for this project, I hope to share more soon.

Baby Lady Bug projects

I made these pink, red and white Lady Bug inspired projects for a sweet gal at church who is having her first baby girl! And of course the theme is Lady Bugs and pink! I had fun decorating the baby onesie and baby hair clip with the Stampin’ Up Fleurettes. To top it all off I made the tiny Lady Bug Princess crown. First, I shaped the crown out of red polka dot paper cut into a cone shape. Next, I hand cut Vintage Sheet music into a flowerette and covered it in Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue™ and chunky transparent glitter. Once dry, I added the flowerette to the top of a crepe paper flower and pink polka dot paper. How fun and festive! Keep crafting!

12 Days of Christmas Decorated ATC Holder

Claire Selby 12 days of Christmas ATC Holder $45

I just finished up another Christmas project, the 12 Days of Christmas Decorated ATC Holder. This started out as a kit with 7gypsies ATC Cards and the ATC Receipt holder, I decorated the ATCs with Aleene’s® Original Tacky Glue™ and fine pale green glitter from Martha Stewart Crafts. Next, I decorated the holder with the handmade paper rosette. To make the rosette I just used 2 strips of 2″ by 12″ sheet music paper and accordion pleated them. Once they were pleated I glued them together with the Tacky Glue, and added my embellishments to the top. I will share some more paper flower decorations soon. There are so many ways to make them and this is just one that I use. Only 4 months, 1 week and 6 days til Christmas! Yes, I am Counting :)

Recycled Vintage Sewing Table

Claire Selby ZEBRA Stenciled Table

Claire Selby ZEBRA Stenciled Table

I decided to Recycle this vintage Sewing Table into a nightstand for my Daughter’s room using her pink & black & white colors. I found the awesome Zebra stencil in Tulip® Tie-Dye Fashion Kit™. I loved the way the Zebra stencil angled on the top corners mimics the shape of the angel wings! It took several days to paint this table just because black and white are so bold, so be prepared to let the paint dry in between each layer until the desired opacity is achieved. The white polka dots were pretty fast because I just dipped the end of my paint brush into the paint and then touched it to the table, instant polka dot! Lots of fun and can’t wait to work on some smaller projects for my other kiddos :) You can also check out my Facebook Pinkdilla page for more projects as well as the www.ilovetocreate.com Facebook page.
